Flomaton police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing Mississippi woman last seen in Flomaton.

Chief Bryan Davis said Shirley Ann Vanosdol, a 56-year-old white female from Leakesville, Miss., was last heard from Tuesday afternoon when she reportedly said she was afraid.

“We were contacted earlier today by family who reported that Ms. Vanosdol made the statement,” Davis said. “We located a cell phone belong to her at her home on Wiley Drive in Flomaton. She does not have a vehicle to travel in, so we are asking the public’s help.

“If anyone has any information as to her whereabouts, please call our department at 251.296.5811,” Davis said.
