A new round of Brewton streets are soon to get a makeover.

Monday, city council members approved new engineering agreements and paving for the following:

• Auction Street;

• Hayes Street;

• Montgomery Alley;

• Kerlin Avenue;

• Lambert Street;

• Travis Street;

• Busey Avenue;

• Gordon Lane;

• Thomas Avenue; and,

• Denard Street.

Total cost of the paving is $279,400. Work will be performed by Wiregrass Construction Co. of Ariton.

In other business, the council:

• awarded a $26,950 bid to Creamer Dozier to ready the arena ground at O’Bannon Park; and

• approved up to $8,000 for a new mower at the cemetery.
