Shirley Frances Lee
Range
Shirley Frances Lee, 81, formerly of Range, Ala., died Sun., Sept. 24, 2017 after an extended illness.
Lee was born on May 8, 1936 in Monroe County. She was a retired seamstress with Vanity Fair Mills in Monroeville. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, and her sisters, with whom she enjoyed very close relationships. Her hobbies included singing, playing the piano, cooking, and needlepoint. She was of the Baptist faith.
Lee was preceded in death by her parents, James and Lunie Daniel; her husband, Alvin Lee; an infant daughter; two sisters, Edna Metts and Nina Mooney; four brothers, Henry Daniel, David Daniel, James Daniel and Clifton Daniel.
She is survived by a son, Larry (Rebecca) Lee of Brewton; a daughter, Sharon (Norman) Morris of Castleberry; three grandchildren, Juliette (Craig) Adams, Michelle (Rodger) McLellan, and Jesse (Amanda) Lee, of Brewton; six great-grandchildren, Haley Pate, Sydney Adams, Addy Lee, Amelia Lee, Grayson McLellan, Caroline McLellan; and a great-great-grandchild, Kati Pate. She is also survived by six sisters, Ellott Shanahan of New York, Myrtle (Raybon) Waters of Repton, Dorothy Lamberth of Bay Minette, Doris Peterson of Panama City, Fla., Lois (Aaron) Jordan of Excel, and Sallie Kilcrease of Bay Minette.
Funeral services were held on Wed., Sept. 27, at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Craver’s Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne McMillan officiating. Interment followed in Brushy Creek Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Eddie Waters, Terry Waters, Jesse Lee, Craig Adams, Rodger McLellan and Trevor Benson.

Charlotte Blair Fountain
Brewton
Charlotte Blair Fountain passed away Tues., Sept. 26, 2017 in Milton.
She is survived by her parents, Sam & Emily Pilotte Fountain of Repton; paternal grandparents, Ronnie & Jeanell Fountain; maternal grandparents, Leo & Barbara Pilotte; maternal great-grandmother, Therese Pilotte of Berkely, Mass.; uncle, Wesley Fountain; aunt and uncle, Katie and Bill Battersby of Santa Fe, N.M.; and numerous great aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by her paternal great-grandparents, Charlie and Nola Raines, and Kenneth & Grace Fountain; maternal great-grandparents, Riley Clayton Kilpatrick and Rhoda Elma Kilpatrick; and maternal grandfather, Bert Pilotte.
Funeral services were held on Sun., Oct. 1, 2017 at 3 p.m. at Brewton First Baptist Church with Bro. Cavin Cawthon, and Bro. Greg Cotter officiating. Interment followed in Baggett’s Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Dusty Wilson, Tanner Carter, Ryan Williams, Josh Grant, and Josh Varner.

William Lee Wilson
Brewton
William Lee Wilson, 48, of Brewton, passed away Sat., Sept. 30, 2017 at a Jay Medical Facility.
He was a native and life long resident of Brewton. Wilson was of the Baptist Faith, a 1987 graduate of W.S. Neal High School, and a supervisor at Frit Car with 20 plus years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, an avid Alabama fan, and working on automobiles.
Survivors are; mother, Shirley Wilson of Tennessee; wife of 20 plus years, Kim Enfinger Wilson of Brewton; one son, Brandon Wilson of Brewton; one daughter, Brittany Wilson of Brewton; one sister, Sharon Wilson of Tennessee. Preceded in death by his father, Lucas Lee Wilson.
Visitation was held Tues. Oct. 3, from 6-8 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, in Brewton.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Wed. Oct. 4, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. James Pugh officiating. Interment will follow in Cooper Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Brewton directing.

Hurston Lee Barnes
Brewton
Hurston Lee Barnes, 74, of Appleton Road passed away Fri., Sept. 29, 2017 at his residence after a brief illness.
He was a native and life long resident of Escambia County. Barnes was a member and Deacon of the Pilgrims Chapel Church for 50 years, a 1961 graduate of W.S. Neal High School, and retired from Jefferson Smurfitt with 44 years of service.
Survivors are his wife of 54 years, Judie Gatewood Barnes of Brewton; his son, Wade (Melanie) Barnes of Gautire, Miss.; his daughter, Phyllis Barnes (Richard) Stanley of Brewton; his brother, Newton (Yvonne) Barnes of Cantonment; five grandchildren, Maegan Stanley Salter, Mallory Stanley, Ashton Barnes, Nicholas Barnes and Ethan Aycox; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John J. and Lennie Mae Cain Barnes.
Funeral services were held Sun., Oct. 1, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Fred White officiating. Interment followed in Weaver Cemetery Brewton, with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Brewton directing.

John Robert Downing

John “Bobby” “Rabbit” Robert Downing, 68, of Foshee Road, passed away Tues. Sept. 26, 2017 at his residence.
He was a native of Austin, Texas and long time resident of Brewton. Downing attended T.R. Miller High School and graduated from Richardson High School in Richardson, Tx.. He attended the First Presbyterian Church of Brewton, was an auto mechanic and gun smith.
Survivors are his wife, Jo Downing of Brewton; his two sons, Johnathan Downing of Brewton and John Paul Downing of Ohio; his daughter, Maureen Kathryn Downing of Arizona; his sister, Patricia Ann Downing McFarland of Dallas, Tx..; three grandchildren, Thor Hartwell, Rose Quarantillo, and Timothy Blendowski; three great grandchildren, Colt Quarantillo, Wyatt Quarantillo, and Rylea Blendowski.
Memorial Services are scheduled for Thurs., Oct. 5, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Brewton with Pastor Parker Johnson officiating and with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Brewton directing.

Mary Roselind Thompson
Brewton
Mary Roselind Thompson, 87, of Brewton, passed away Mon., Oct. 2, 2017 at the Jay Hospital.
Thompson was a native and life long resident of Brewton. She was a homemaker, and was a member of Brewton First Baptist Church. Thompson was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Floyd Thompson.
She is survived by five sons, Ronnie (Myra) Thompson, Ricky Thompson, Roger Thompson, Mike Thompson, and Jimmy Thompson, all of Brewton; one brother, John (Pat) Overstreet of Molino, Fla.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wed., Oct. 4, 2017 at Brewton First Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Headley officiating. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday at Brewton First Baptsit Church from 10 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m.

Donald Everett Watson
Rev. Watson was born in Brewton and had been a resident of South Carolina prior to returning to Brewton in 1993. He was the pastor at Faith Community Fellowship in East Brewton for a number of years, and served as Executive Director at Epilepsy Advocates of America. He was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Ruth Watson of Brewton; his parents, Rev. Donald Everett Watson and Carol Watson of South Carolina; one son, Jason (Jennifer) Newby of Breweton; a daughter, Mandy (Michael) Buckhault of East Brewton; two sisters, Melody Ann Watson of North Carolina, and Joy (Tarek) Merdan of North Carolina; one newphew, and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Tues., Oct. 3, 2017 at 4 p.m. from the Chapel of Craver’s Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Gray and Rev. Don Watson officiating. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Craver’s Funeral Home on Tuesday from 3 p.m. until service time at 4 p.m.
Pallbearers: Will Anthony, Michael Trehern, Chuck Nichols, Jason Beasley, William Joyner, Caleb Beasley, Jason Newby, and Michael Buckhault.
