Roy Moore took home a majority of the votes for Escambia County in last night’s Senate election.

According to unofficial precinct results, Moore won 3,158 votes to Doug Jones’ 1,836 votes.

Voter turnout was low for the county at 20.53 percent of registered voters coming out to the polls.

At the time of publication, it was still too soon to call the winner of the election. Moore was leading with 53 percent of the statewide vote to Jones’ 45 percent.
