WSN tops the Tigers on road

The W.S. Neal Blue Eagles boys basketball team went 1-2 last week, falling to Flomaton and Georgiana before defeating T.R. Miller.
WSN fell to Flomaton on the road, 76-52.
Senior Marvin Maddox did his part, pouring in 16 points to go along with three rebounds.
Mateo Smith also scored in double digits, recording ten points. Marcus Page had nine, Jacobey Hawthorne and Tomasso Bartolucci had eight a piece for the Eagles.
Smith had four steals in the contest.
The second game of the week saw Georgiana pull away late in a 56-44 loss.
Maddox, Page, and Hawthorne all scored in double digits for the Eagles, with Maddox leading the way with 15 points and five rebounds. Page shot 66 percent from the field on the night.
Maddox again led the way in the 55-44 victory over T.R. Miller, collecting 19 points while hitting four three-pointers in a comeback effort from the Eagles.
Matthew Thomas had his best game of the year, recording a season-high 12 points to go along with six rebounds.
Hawthorne had eight points and six rebounds and Page scored 11 in the effort.
WSN is now 4-4 on the year and will look ahead to the T.R. Miller Invitational tomorrow and Friday.
