The Escambia County Commission received an unmodified opinion from the Alabama Department of Examiners of Public Accounts for the period of Oct. 1, 2014 until Sept. 30, 2015.

The department released the information recently.

The unmodified opinion means that the commission’s financial statements present fairly, in all material respects, its financial position and the results of its operations for the budget year ended Sept. 30, 2015.

The Examiners of Public Accounts said that tests performed during the audit did not disclose any significant instances of noncompliance with applicable state and local laws and regulations.
