The 11-0 W.S. Neal Blue Eagles remain undefeated as they played a home area game defeating the Monroe County Tigers Friday. The Eagles played two games against the Tigers winning game one 19-0 and game two 18-1.
The Eagles had an excellent night being in control and playing at their pace from start to finish. “We was focused and our kids did the little things that gave us an opportunity to get the other kids in the game,” head coach Coy Campbell said.
The Eagles jumped to a 6-0 lead in the first inning to the help of some great offensive players. The Eagles continued to push their lead by scoring two points in the second inning. They outscored the Tigers 9-0 in the third and just cruised the rest of the way for the win.
Connor Moye had a great game with three appearances at bat, had three runs, two hits, one run batted in and two doubles. Jacobey Hawthorne had a great game, as well, with three appearances at bat, two runs and two stolen bases.
