Pair arrested for tossing drugs at Holman

Two Montgomery residents are facing charges of promoting prison contraband and a host of other charges after they went to Holman prison and threw drugs over the fence.
Escambia County Chief Deputy Mike Lambert said that ESCO, Poarch Police Department and the Atmore Police Department assisted Alabama Department of Corrections investigators after DOC called for assistance in reference to the suspects throwing contraband over the fence.
“We set up perimeter and found them at a local restaurant,” he said.
Lambert said that they have less than half of the needed corrections officers at the prison.
They arrested 26-year-old Curnasha Leshaye Thomas and charged her with promoting prison contraband second degree, prohibited activities and possession of marijuana second degree, and Jafarrius Deontay Williams, 25, for promoting prison contraband second degree and prohibitied activities.
The suspects’ bond amounts are still pending.
