Etta Jeanette Godwin- Evergreen

Mrs. Etta Jeanette Godwin, age 85 of Evergreen, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2018 at a local hospital.
Mrs. Godwin was a life-long resident of Conecuh County, and was a member of the Repton High School Class of 1951. She had worked as a seamstress at Judy Bond for a number of years. She was a member of Holly Grove United Methodist Church. Mrs. Godwin was preceded in death by a son, Lavon Godwin.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, P. J. Godwin of Castleberry,; two sons, Johnny (Paula) Godwin of Castleberry, and Tony (Lisa) Godwin of Brewton,; a daughter-in-law, Mary Godwin of Brooklyn; three brothers, Shelton Baggett of Montgomery, Franklin Baggett of Fairhope, and Vernon Baggett of Repton; six sisters, Mary Nell Butts of Saraland,, Virginia McInnis of Repton, Judy Dean of Peterman, Thelma Snow of Mobile, Betty Eddins of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, and Linda Capps of Grand Bay; five grandchildren, Brent Godwin, Kaylee Godwin, Tyler Godwin, Ryan Godwin, and Kristen Freeman; and two great-grandchildren, Loralei, and Jacob.
A graveside service washeld on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 10 a.m.. at Baggett’s Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery with Brother Buddy Williams officiating.
Visitation was held at Baggett’s Chapel United Methodist Church on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until service time at 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Baggett’s Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund 2901 County Road 15 Repton, AL 36475.
