Howard Synverster Stewart -Brewton

Mr. Howard Synvester Stewart, 62, of Appleton Road Brewton, passed away Thursday Sept. 20, 2018 in a local hospital after a brief illness. He was a native of Andalusia, and a long time resident of Brewton. Mr. Stewart was a member of the Brooklyn Baptist Church and a carpenter with Hall Housing in the construction industry. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and his family.
Survivors include, his wife of 32 years, Cheryl Tompkins Stewart of Brewton; one son, Charles (Hannah) Stewart of Brewton; two daughters, Jennifer (Michael) Jernigan of Castleberry and Heather (Blake) Rose of Milton, Florida; step father, Charles (Marcia) Frazier of Brooklyn; four brothers, Eddie Poth of Germany, Kenneth Gray Harrelson of Brewton, James Harrelson of Castleberry, and Tony Stuart of Tampa, Fla., three sisters, Debbie Smith, Diane Wiggs of Tennessee and Denise Frazier of Milton, Florida; five grandchildren, Gavin Jernigan, Drew Jernigan, Tucker Stewart, Laina Rose, Adrian Stewart.
He was preceded in death by parents Adrian and Mary McCartha Stuart and step brother, Chuckie Frazier.
Visitation was held Friday night Sept. 21, 2018 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Funeral Services were held Saturday morning Sept. 22, 2018 at 11 a.m.. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Brian Garrett officiating. Interment will follow in Cooper Cemetery Brewton, Alabama.
