West Gate Villiage in Brewton will celebrate their
annual Veterans Day Celebration at 2 p.m. on Unit
A. The event is sponsored by Comfort Care Hospice.
An awards ceremony will take place and all veterans
or families of veterans are invited to help celebrate.

The Habitat for Humanity Restore location in
Brewton will be honoring Curtis Glaize. During the
week, Habitat will donate a percentage of sales to
the Curtis Glaize scholarship fund.
Nov. 15
Holiday Kickoff in dowtown Brewton and at
Dogwood Park. Events begin at 4 p.m. and will
feature Christmas lights, train rides, vendors,
shopping at local stores, Santa will be at The L
House taking pictures, merchants will have sales,
refreshments and entertainment. The Downtown
Market will be going on during this time as well.

Betting on Brewton Holiday Shopping (Poker
Run Style) throughout downtown Brewton begins.
Game begins at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 15 and
ends on Friday, Dec. 7th.

Escambia County Board of Education meeting at
4 p.m. at the Brewton Central Office.
Nov. 17
Ribs & Rides Lions Club Car Show at Camp 31
BBQ in downtown Brewton 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Will feature a corn hole tournament, live music,
50/50 and door prizes.
Dec. 1
Barnett Crossroads will host their annual
Christmas Parade at 1003 Barnett Highway from
2 to 4 p.m.. The parade is being sponsored by
Bud and Jeans Country Store in memory of Bud
Herndon. Refreshments will be served afterwards
and there will be gifts for the little ones.
Dec. 3
Friends of the Library will have a book sale at the
Brewton Library Community House from 9 a.m. until
4 p.m.
Dec. 7
Southwest Alabama Behavioral Health Care
Systems in collaboration with the Alabama Suicide
Prevention and Resources Coalition would like to
invite you and members of your organization to
participate in a free training on Suicide Prevention.
The training will be held at the Brewton Civic
Center from 1 to 3 p.m.
