The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office is still searching for answers in the disappearance of 74- year-old Eva McBride.
This past Friday marked one week since the Pollard woman’s disappearance.
Little evidence has been found and neither has McBride.
Helicopters, search crews and volunteers from many different agencies have been searching on ground and in the air for McBride.
“So far we have had very little to go off of. Very little evidence has turned up and we are still searching for answers. We are still combing the area and going off what few tips that we receive but there is not enough evidence at this point to officially label the case as a criminal investigation but we are going to treat it as such. There is no evidence to support this as a criminal case at this point but we are going to continue to do everything possible to bring evidence to light and investigate any information that we receive,” Sheriff Grover Smith said.
Law enforcement is asking anyone that may have any information on this case to contact the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office immediately at 251-867-0304.
