Mr. Jerry Michael “Mike” Lowery, age 72, of Ridge Road in Brewton, passed away Monday night Dec. 3, 2018 at his residence after a brief illness. He was a native and life-long resident of Brewton. Mr. Lowery was a member of the Ridge Road Baptist Church, a 1964 graduate of W.S. Neal High School, and was a retired millwright from International Paper Company with 39 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gun collecting, and metal detecting for Civil War memorabilia.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Barbara Sue Minchew Lowery of Brewton; one son, Alan (Racheal) Lowery of Brewton; one daughter, Sherri (Gary) Weaver of Brewton; one brother, Joel (Carla) Lowery of Milton, Fla; ten grandchildren, Nikki Smith, Valerie Weaver, Garrett Weaver, Kevin Lowery, Adrian Lowery, Shana Lowery, Hayden Lowery, Spencer Camp, Sidney Camp, Josh Lowery; one great granddaughter, Ada McArthur.

He is preceded in death by his son, Shane Lowery; brother John Dana Lowery.

Visitation was held Friday morning, Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in Brewton.

Funeral Services were held Friday, Dec. 7 at 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home. Interment followed at Ridge Road Baptist Church Cemetery in Brewton with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Brewton, Ala. Directing.
