Mr. John Kenneth Baggett of Repton passed away on Thursday, Nov. 29, 2018. He was 83.

Mr. Baggett was a 40-year employee of Container Corporation where he was a shift engineer. He was also an avid outdoorsman, and he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved working on almost anything and figuring out how it worked. He also was a mason for more than 40 years and a member of the Repton Lodge FAM. His family said they will always remember him as someone that had “no quit in him.”

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2018, at Baggett’s Chapel Methodist Church with Rev. Norman Brown and Rev. Larry Renfroe officiating. Interment followed in the Baggett’s Chapel Cemetery. The family received friends one hour prior to services at the church. Cope Keahey Funeral Home handled arrangements.

Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Janella Reeves Baggett of Repton; sons, Gregory K. (Theresa) Baggett of Repton and Ronald G. (Drenda) Baggett of Repton; brother, James C. Baggett of Mobile; sisters, Louise Biles of Evergreen, Jackie Riley of Evergreen, and Doris Morris of Chumuckla, Fla; grandchildren, Elizabeth A. (Autumn) Baggett-Griggs, Katherine J. (Neil) Devin, Haley R. Baggett and William K. Baggett.

Mr. Baggett is preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Jennie Baggett, and his brother, Tommy Still.
