The Tigers are ready for golf to return to Brewton. First year head coach Benson Stonicher is excited about the outlook of his season and his upcoming team.

“This year’s golf team will return three starters from last year, one being senior Donovan Weaver. Weaver has been a part of this golf program since he was in middle school and it being my first year as the coach I look forward to his leadership. Leadership from Weaver will be a key to our success because we have some younger guys,” said Stonicher.

The good thing about this season, is that he has a lot of experienced players.

“Turner Smith, and Miller Hart will be key pieces to how competitive we can be this season as well. I think our team is completed by Matthew Wagner, and with help from Zeke we can accomplish some big things this year,” said Stonicher.

The Tigers will have some serious opponents this season.

“We are in a tough section with some serious competition. It will be interesting to see how these guys compete this year. I definitely look forward to it,” said Stonicher.
