Deonte’ Kewhawn Puryear of Calera, AL was born Nov. 4, 2000, in Brewton, AL and departed this life on June 16, 2019.  He was currently attending Thompson High School and was expected to graduate with the class of 2020. He had hope of attending trade school to learn the craft of welding. Deonte’ will be dearly missed by teachers, students and coaches who supported him throughout his education journey.

Deonte’ is survived by his Mother, Larisha Puryear; his father, Taras Cheatham; his step-father, Edward Ballard; his grandparents, Clarissa Puryear, Forestine Duncan, and Toni Cheatham; his siblings; Christopher Puryear, Joshua Jolley, Kennedy Cheatham, Kameron Cheatham, Taylar Ballard and Cristan Ballard; two aunts, Monique Puryear and Venezia Jackson; two uncles, Jason Cheatham and Preston Cheatham; one precious niece, Carissa Puryear and a plethora of cousins who loved him like a brother.

Burial took place at Baptist Hill Cemetery in Brewton, Al with Presley-Fluker Funeral Home directing.
