   The Greater Brewton Area Chamber of Commerce named Jalisco Mexican Restaurant Business of the Month for the month of July on Monday. The owners of Jalisco Carlos and Karen Castro have been serving traditional Mexican food in Brewton for 25 years. When Jalisco first came to Brewton, they were located downtown. When they outgrew that location, they moved to their current location next to Restore.

   “We appreciate the 25 years of business we have had here,” Karen Castro said. “We appreciate the community’s support.” 

   Executive Director of the Chamber Judy Crane said that Jalisco is the birthday spot in town. 

   “Jalisco is a major part of the community,” Chamber President Hillary Herrington said. “We appreciate them for their help with sponsoring events. We couldn’t do what we do without local businesses like Jalisco.”
