Partnering with the City of Brewton, the Greater Brewton Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Christmas Bazaar.
Slated for this upcoming Sunday, Dec. 8., the community is invited to join in on the holiday excitement. Hosted at Dogwood Hills Park, the event will begin at 2 p.m. and end at 7 p.m.
“With the little village and tree at Dogwood Hills Park, we were trying to find ways to use that area. We chose a Sunday afternoon because of everything going on at this point in time. We have about 20-25 vendors,” said Executive Director Judy Crane.
From food vendors to unique gifts and craft vendors, retail merchants of all kinds were invited to set up booths at the event.
“There will be unique Christmas items for gifts and crafts. We have local, as well as out of town vendors,” added Administrative Assistant Debi Pugh.
It is the hope of the chamber that the event will serve as a wonderful opportunity for the community to shop for gifts, unique holiday decorations and one of a kind art pieces. During the event, local choirs will perform Christmas music, along with a special showing of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” beginning at 5 p.m. The movie is free of charge and families are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs.Following the movie, holiday hayrides will be available. Last, but not least, Santa and Mrs. Claus will also be in attendance. Pictures will begin at 2:30 p.m.
