Mr. Marion Phillip Andrews, 90, of Brewton, Ala., passed away Mon., Jan. 20, 2020, at his residence after a brief illness. He was a native of Brewton, a former resident of San Diego, Calif., for 25 years where he worked at San Diego Harbor Boat and Yacht Company and San Diego Marine Company, before moving back to Brewton.
Mr. Andrews was a member of the Zion Hill Baptist Church, a graduate of W.S. Neal High School, and was a retired machinist from Jefferson Smurfitt with 19 years of service.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter Phillip Andrews and Bertha Jackson Andrews; two sisters, Louise and Dorethea; a brother, Lavon; step-son, Michael Lynch.
He is survived by his wife Cora Andrews; his son, Mark (Shannon) Andrews of Pace, Fla; his daughter, Debra (Jerrell) McRae of Brewton; a brother, Howard (Edna) Andrews; Cora’s children, Peggy (David) Augustine, Pat (Donna) Lynch, and Kathy (William) Little; ten grandchildren, Beverly Norton, Michael McRae, Lisa Paul, Kyle Andrews, Heather Wilson, Kristen Miller , Steven Augustine, Keefe Lynch, Shae Lynch and Aaron Lynch; eleven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Fri., Jan. 24, 2020, from 9AM until 11AM at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Fri., Jan. 24, 2020, at 11AM at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Bryan Garrett and Rev. Wayne Morris officiating.
Interment will follow in the Zion Hill Cemetery Brewton, Ala. with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Brewton directing.
