Escambia County accident claims 2 lives

According to Lieutenant Joe Piggott, Highway Patrol of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, the accident occurred at approximately 5:45 p.m. on Thurs., Jan. 23.
During this time, the ALEA State Troopers responded to a fatal four-vehicle crash on AL 21 near Ross Road in western Escambia County.
Warren Demetrick Stallworth, 39, of Monroeville, was traveling south when his 2019 Acura TLX collided head-on with a 2019 Ford F-150 driven by Spencer Rogers, 36, of Atmore.
Also involved in the crash was a 2015 Chevrolet Impala driven by Sherry Ann Dale, 60, of Frisco City and a 2008 Dodge Ram driven by Sharon Banks, 53, of Monroeville.
Rogers, Dale, Banks, and two others were transported for treatment of injuries. Stallworth, who was not using a seat belt, was ejected from his vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
As of Friday, Jan. 31, another passenger passed away due to injuries sustained after the accident. Piggot reported Friday afternoon, “A passenger in the Chevrolet Malibu, Bessie Lee Murphy, 65, of Beatrice, has died from her injuries sustained in the crash.”
