First Baptist Church of Brewton is hosting Discipleship-Now.

An annual event, D-NOW is a full weekend of fun and fellowship. This year, Student Pastor Marc Edge is looking forward to the event.

The theme verse for the event is John 10:10, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”

“The theme this year is the Game of Life,” Edge shared. “Jesus promises to give us abundant life, if we trust in Him, this weekend will be a time for students to slow down and learn more about this relationship they can have now,” he continued.

Worship will be held both nights at 7 p.m. The speaker for the weekend is Pastor Erik Reed. Reed is founding and lead pastor of the Journey Church in Lebanon, Tenn. Reed speaks at numerous events throughout the year such as youth camps, D-Nows, marriage seminars, men’s retreats, and church planting training events.

The worship leader for the weekend is Jarod Espy. Espy is a worship leader and songwriter from Sugar Land, Texas.

Students in grades 7-12th grades are invited to attend the weekend events. Activities will include worship, bible study, games, and more. “I can’t wait to see God move in these students’ lives,” Edge said.
