STOCKTON, ALA.
Mr. James (Jamie) Henry Burnham, 74 of Stockton, Ala., passed away Wednesday, Mar. 25, 2020, at his residence after a brief illness. He was a native and lifelong resident of Escambia County, Ala.
Mr. Burnham was a member and served as a trustee of the Friendship Free Will Baptist Church. He was a 1963 Graduate of W.S. Neal High School, Served in the National Guard, was a Mason and Shriner of the Perdido Lodge #752, and was a retired Pulp Mill Superintendent from Georgia Pacific with 45 years of service. He was a devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather and he loved to hunt and fish.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Smith Burnham of Stockton; a son, Rusty (Tracey) Burnham of Brewton; two step-sons, Sean (Sara) Smith and Chad Smith; a brother, Mike (Barbara Jean) Burnham; his grandchildren, Jacob Burnham, Brittany Burnham, Lexi Smith, Braxton Peebles, Miles Smith; many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends; his cat, Kitty Kitty.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Myrtice Nelson Burnham; his wife, Liz Carden Burnham; a daughter, Christina Burnham; a brother, Jerry Burnham; two sisters, Sue Downing and Sarah Frazier
Graveside Services were scheduled for Saturday, Mar. 28, 2020, at 11AM at Pollard Cemetery with Rev. Rusty Burnham officiating.
Internment followed in Pollard Cemetery, Pollard, Ala. with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Brewton directing.
