BREWTON, ALA.
Mrs. Lois Jean Baggett, 87, passed away on Friday, Mar. 27, 2020, at a Brewton nursing facility.
Mrs. Baggett was born in Mobile, Ala., and had been a resident of Castleberry for forty six years, coming from St. Stephens, Ala. She loved writing songs and poetry, she was a musician and sang in a gospel trio. She enjoyed sewing, fishing, crabbing, and going out sightseeing and her face would light up when she went out. Mrs. Baggett was a devoted Christian and loved her Lord. She was a member of Castleberry Assembly of God.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James D. Stoker and Susie C. Stoker; and infant son, Henry Lynn Baggett; two brothers, Thomas Stoker and Reese Stoker; a sister, Genevieve Hayaski; four grandchildren, Jessica Cuevas, Daniel C. Baggett, Jr. James “J.W.” Baggett, and Jennifer N. Schonefeld.
She is survived by her husband, John William Baggett, Sr.; two sons, John W. (Patti) Baggett, Jr. of Lakeland, FL, Daniel C. (Betty) Baggett of Citronelle, AL; two daughters, Regina G. (Mike) Albertson of Brewton, and A. Juanita (Stan) Hall of Plano, TX; one brother, James O. (Carolyn) Stoker of Georgia; three sisters, Irene (David) Parmer of Leslie, AR, Josephine (William) Parmer of Semmes, AL, and Faye (Crayton) Johnson of Semmes, AL; six grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services will be held at Holland Cemetery at 2PM on Monday, Mar. 30, 2020, with Rev. Tommy Quick officiating and Craver’s Funeral Home of Brewton, Ala. directing.
