BREWTON, ALA.

Mrs. Carol Elaine Wilson Van Hoosen, 57, of Brewton, Ala., passed away on Wednesday, Apr. 1, 2020, in a Pensacola, Fla., healthcare facility.

Mrs. Van Hoosen was born in Brewton and had been a resident of Brewton for 21 years coming from Flomaton, Ala.  She loved flowers and owned and operated Tri-City Florist and The Brewton Flower Shop.  Mrs. Van Hoosen attended New Haven Holiness  Church, and was preceded in death by her father, Rev. Robert Earl Wilson, Sr. of Flomaton; her sister, Sherry Dunsford of Century, Fla., and one grandchild, River Hammonds of Ponchatoula, La.

She is survived by her mother, Carolyn Wilson of Brewton, her husband, Barry E. Van Hoosen of Brewton; her son Brandon (Stephanie) Hammonds of Pollard, Ala.; her daughter, Michele Harrison of Brewton, Ala; her brother, Robert  ‘Hub’ (Kathy) Wilson of Bratt, Fla; her sister, Dorothy Wilson of Flomaton, Ala.; 15 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held on Fri., April 3, 2020, at Little Escambia Baptist Church Cemetery at 12:30 PM with Rev. Randy Steadmen officiating and Flomaton Funeral Home of Flomaton, Ala., directing.
