SARAH RUTH CHAVERS EILAND

BREWTON, ALA.

Mrs. Sarah Ruth Chavers Eiland, 84, of Brewton, passed away Monday Mar. 30, 2020,  after a brief illness. She was a native and lifelong resident of Brewton. Mrs. Eiland was a member of the Catawba Springs Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Flomaton High School, a former employee of Chemstrand, Judy Bond and was a homemaker.

She is survived by her three sons,  Greg (Kim) Eiland of Jay, Fla., David (Deana) Eiland of Argyle, Texas, Jerry (Shannon) Eiland of Flomaton, Ala; a brother, Sonny (Bobbie) Chavers of Brewton;a sister,  Teeny (Roy) Freeman of Brewton; grandchildren, Jennifer (Jason) Blaney, Brittany (Marcus) Buchanan, David “DJ” Eiland, Chase Eiland, Jessica Poteete (Michael Sanders, Zachary (Brittany) Poteete; great grandchildren, Tyler Jackson, Brexley Buchanan, Jacob Poteete, Jaxon Poteete, Raegan Poteete and Rylin Poteete.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Eiland; a son, Keith Smith.

Graveside Services were scheduled for Saturday, Apr. 4, 2020, at 2PM at Catawba Springs Cemetery, with Rev. Jeff Edwards and Rev. Steve Yuhasz officiating.

Interment  followed in Catawba Springs Cemetery, Brewton, Ala. with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Brewton, Ala. directing.
