Mr. John David Baker, 73, passed away Monday, Apr. 13, 2020 at his Castleberry residence.
Mr. Baker was born in Repton, Ala. and had been a life-long resident of Castleberry. He worked as a pole framer for W.C. Meredith Co., for a number of years. He enjoyed fishing, and was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Baker was preceded in death by his dad, William Samuel Baker; his mom, Gladys Evelyn Baker; his wife, Myrtis Hobbs Baker; a sister, Mary Cain; and a brother, Jerry Baker.
He is survived by a son, David Baker of Griffin, Ga.; two daughters, Kelly (James Stutz) Baker of McLain, Miss., and Kimberly (Jimmy) Stanford of Belleville, Ala.; two brothers, Homer Baker of Brewton, Ala., and Luther (Sis) Baker of Whiting, Ind.; a sister, Clara (Doug) Burch of Brewton, Ala.; and seven grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services were held at Buffington Cemetery on Friday, Apr. 17, 2020, at 11AM with Bro. Andy Peavy officiating and Craver’s Funeral Home of Brewton directing.
