ANGELA MARIE PENDARVIS GATES
BREWTON, ALA.
Mrs. Angela “Angie” Marie Pendarvis Gates, 82, of College Dr., Brewton, Ala., passed away Sunday May 10, 2020, in a local hospital after a brief illness. She was a native of Bayou La Batre, Ala., a former resident of Mobile, Ala., and a long time resident of Brewton. Mrs. Gates attended Brewton First Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
She is survived by her son, Curtis Gates, Jr. of Atlanta, Ga.; five daughters, Donna Wiggins, Carla Castelin, Kelly Castlein, Mitzi Whittle all of Brewton and Glennis McDonough of Bessemer, Ala.; a sister, Winifred Housdan of Mobile, Ala.; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Gates, Sr.
Private family graveside services will be held in Union Cemetery with the Rev. Drake Dorsett officiating.
Interment will follow in Union Cemetery Brewton, Ala. with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Brewton directing.
