CHARITY JOANNE RYDZOWSKI POLK
BREWTON, ALA.
Charity Joanne “Sissy” Rydzowski Polk, 44, of Roberts, Ala., died Tuesday, May 12, 2020, at her home.
Mrs. Polk was born August 4, 1975, at Portsmouth Naval Hospital in Portsmouth, Va., spent her childhood in Century, Fla., middle school years in Crestview, Fla. and graduated from high school in Flomaton, Ala. She attended Jefferson Davis Community College where she was a member of the JD Jazz dance group in the middle 1990s. She loved to hunt deer and turkey with a bow or a gun, as well as was an accomplished fisherman. She also had a beautiful singing voice and loved spoiling her nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her husband, Don Polk of the Roberts community; her mother, Anne (Robert) Sims of Monroeville; her daddy, Paul (Karen) Rydzowski of Bradley; her biological father, Ronald (Sunni) Morgan of Byrneville; step daughter, Katie (Paul) Jordan of Gulf Shores; step-grandchildren, Anna Kate Jordan and Stephen Jordan of Gulf Shores and Jack Jordan; two brothers, Ronny (Robin) Rydzowski of Satsuma and Tyler (Amber) Morgan of Berrydale, Fla.; two sisters, Elizabeth Anne “Beth” (Dwayne) Higdon of Brewton and Dani (David) Grant of Flomaton; step-siblings, Leslie (Jason) Anderson of Hobson, Ala., Rod (Jessica) Sims of Monroeville; Brandon Adams of Paxton, Fla. ; Eric (Tabatha) McLeod of Baker Fla. and Daphne Taylor of Flomaton; grandmothers, Frances Stanton Lee of Century, Fla. and Gloria Rydzowski of Flomaton; and many nieces and nephews including, Stephanie Whatley, Troy Higdon, Chloe Higdon, Joseph Rydzowski, Emma Rydzowski, Asher Grant, Shawn McLeod, Trent McLeod, Collin Sims, Baylee Anderson and William Anderson.
She is preceded in death by grandfathers, V.E. Kayo Stanton Jr. and Ramon F. Rydzowski.
The funeral services are pending.
Burial will follow at Union Hill Cemetery in Bradley Ala., under the direction of Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Brewton.
