The following letter was sent to the Class of 2020 by Rev. Anthony R. Thames at Zion Fountain AMEZ Church.
Hello Class of 2020:
Smile, smile because you have much to smile about. Sure this pandemic – the Covid-19 may have put a damper on the traditional graduation you have longed for in what seems like an eternity, but I the Rev. Anthony R. Thames and the Zion Fountain AMEZ church family request that you hold your heads up and SMILE. You may be asking how can I smile in times like this? Well I can say SMILE because I trust the Word of God in the Book of Jeremiah Chapter 29:11 where it says; “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Whoop There It Is!
So SMILE because you have a great future ahead of you. SMILE because you have an awesome life waiting on you. SMILE that you are included in God’s plan for success. So, we The Zion Fountain AMEZ Church Family would like to congratulate you The Class Of 2020 on such a wonderful accomplishment during a difficult period in history that will be remembered for a long-long time. You have worked hard these past 12 years to reach this academic achievement which is such a wonderful milestone in a young person’s life. Although graduation ceremonies have been canceled, postponed, delayed, or readjusted you still have so much to SMILE about. We pray you much success in all your future endeavors and pray that you always put God first in whatever you do. May God continue to bless you is our prayer.
Sincerely,
The Zion Fountain AMEZ Church Family
