BENJAMIN MCGOWIN STONE
BREWTON, ALA.
Mr. Benjamin “Mack” McGowin Stone, 80, of the Damascus Community Brewton, Ala., passed away Monday, May 25, 2020, in a local hospital after a brief illness. He was a native of Century, Fla., and a lifelong resident of Brewton, Ala. Mr. Stone attended the Damascus School and was a graduate of W.S. Neal High School. He was a member of the Damascus Baptist Church, a U.S. Marine Veteran, and a retired line foreman from Southern Pine with 40 years of service. He enjoyed gardening.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Elizabeth Downing Stone of Damascus; two sons, Mike (Heather) Stone of Brewton and Mark (Misty) Stone of Damascus; a brother, Charles (Jacque) Stone of Damascus; five, grandchildren, Bailey (Reid) Johnson, Laiken Stone, Alexander (Jasmine) O’Keane, Sadie Stone, Elijah Stone; two great grandchildren, Ella O’Kean and Rhett O’Keane.
A time of visitation was held Friday, May 29, 2020, from 1PM until 2PM at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Brewton, Alabama.
Funeral Services were scheduled for Friday, May 29, 2020, at 2PM at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Yuhasz and the Rev. Doug Greer officiating.
Interment will follow in Damascus Cemetery Brewton, Ala. with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Brewton directing.
