Mr. Bobbie Wayne Poole, age 83 of Castleberry, AL, passed away on July 7, 2020 at his home in Castleberry, Alabama.
Mr. Poole was born in Castleberry, Alabama on 2 February 1937 and had been a life-long member of the London Community. He had been married 55 years to the love of his life. During his working years he worked as a truck driver for Poole Truck Lines, Transas, Georgia Hiway Express, Joe Knowles Trucking, and Evergreen Transportation. He retired with over 50 years experience as a trucker. Mr. Poole was also a cattle farmer. He was know for the fine quality of freezer beef he raised. He enjoyed raising cattle and planting a garden. One of his many joys was giving vegetables he grew to people in the community.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis Albert Poole and Dorothy Dunn Poole; sister, Evelyn Eulane Poole Lanier; brother, Walter Raymond Poole; brothers-in-law, Glenn Lanier and Waverly Summerlin.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Smith Poole of Castleberry, Alabama; daughter, Pamela Poole of Blountsville, Alabama; son, Bobbie (Kathy) Poole, Jr. of Castleberry, Alabama; granddaughter, Katelyn Poole of Castleberry, Alabama; sister, Louise Poole Summerlin of Montgomery, Alabama; sister-in-law, Mary Boswell Poole of Evergreen, Alabama, and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be held at London Baptist Church Cemetery on Friday, July 10, 2020 at 11 A.M. with Rev. Tommy White officiating.
Pallbearers: Harold Kyser, Winston Davis, John Pate, Kevin Reeves, Ollie Willis, and Aaron Pettis.
