Jimmie Lois Jackson, 94 years of age, entered into her eternal rest on Sunday, July 26, 2020. Mrs. Jackson was born in Conecuh County, Alabama on May 11, 1926 to Sanford and Pharobia Mixon Higdon. She was one of nine children. She was a 1945 graduate of Repton High School. After graduation she married her first husband, Murphy L. Ryland. Together they had four children. After the death of her first husband, she later married Frances G. Jackson and moved to Brewton, AL. in 1975. With this marriage a blended family was formed with his four children. After moving to Brewton, she became a faithful member of First Baptist Church in East Brewton. There she was blessed with many lifelong relationships. During her life in East Brewton, she had many hobbies including gardening, both vegetables and flowers, quilting, cooking, and playing games. Mrs. Jimmie loved her Lord and Savior, her family and her friends. Her joy was to cook for her family. The grandchildren especially enjoyed her homemade chicken and dumplings and tried to learn how to prepare them like she did. She loved to have friends drop in and always had coffee and pound cake. She also enjoyed traveling and seeing new places and was ready to go at the drop of a hat.
She was predeceased by her parents, Sanford and Pharobia Higdon, her five brothers and three sisters, her first husband, Murphy L. Ryland, her son, Robert L. Ryland, her second husband, Francis G. Jackson, her daughter, Mary J. Settle, and her son-in-law, Wayne T. Bell.

Mrs. Jimmie set a good example of how to live a godly life and was a role model and a blessing to all who knew her. She was always ready to lend a helping hand in whatever capacity that was needed. She had a true heart of gold! She was blessed to enjoy her life until the end. She touched many lives during her lifetime and leaves many to cherish her memory. Words could never express our heartfelt appreciation for the many acts of kindness shown to mother and to us. Your love and prayers have truly been felt.
