W.S. Neal fell 14-3 to Williamson in Class 4A, Region 1 action Monday night.
The Blue Eagles played WHS close and were down 6-3 at halftime.
W.S. Neal head football coach Andro Williams said he was proud of the way the boys played, but giving up a big play and a scoop and score were the difference.
Williams said WSN controlled the first half of the game until the 1:09 mark of the second quarter.
“They drove down the field before the half, and punched it in,” he said. “I thought again, we had our opportunities. We need to come out and take care of the football, and not give up the big plays. Those two things happened.”
With a quick turnaround for this week’s game on Friday, the Eagles practiced Tuesday and today, and then will have a walk through tomorrow.
WSN visits New Brockton at Enterprise High School’s field.
Kick off is at 7 p.m.
