Water rose in Brewton and East Brewton following Hurricane Sally’s visit. Water flooded both cities and forced closure of the Murder Creek Bridge connecting the two. The bridge was reopened to traffic early Friday morning after water receded to a safe level.
Clean up is now the focus for East Brewton’s Piggly Wiggly as well as city streets and parking lots that suffered from damage around the city.
