The Mobile Weather Forecast Office has released updated information concerning the current track of Hurricane Delta.

David Adams, Escambia County Emergency Management Director, said the information really hasn’t changed from the Tuesday forecast.

“There is very little change in the forecast track from yesterday,” Adams said. ” Hurricane Delta is still forecast to make landfall as a major hurricane on the Louisiana coast sometime Friday.  The NWS has good confidence in the current forecast.  We could see some rainfall due to the storm, but impacts should be minimal. Please continue to be watchful of potential severe weather conditions and stay prepared.”
