Mr. Wilbur “Gam” Graves, 91, of Brewton, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2020 at his residence after a brief illness.
Mr. Graves was a native and life-long resident of Brewton. He was a member of the Pleasant Home Holiness Church and retired from Container Corporation as a millwright with 35 years of service. He was very active in the ministry.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Lillie Ruth Hale Graves of Brewton; one son, Lyndel (Janet) Graves of Deatsville; four daughters, Janet (Tim) Jarvis of Atmore, Regina (Chris) Christian of Salem, Renee (Doug) Baker of Brownstown, Ill., and Beverly (Chris) Ales of Loxley; one grandchild, Adam Jarvis; and two step-great-grandchildren, Jeremy and Bryan Jarvis.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Agnes Smith.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 22, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until service time at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 22, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Clergy Chris Christian and Brian Richburg officiating. Interment will be at Weaver’s Cemetery on Appleton Road in Brewton.
Under current COVID-19 conditions, the family asks guests to please follow social distancing guidelines and wear masks.
