Mr. Jeffery “Jeff” Wayne Laymon, 56, of West Tuskeena Street in Hayneville, passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2020 in a Montgomery hospital after a brief illness.
He was a native and former resident of Brewton before moving to Hayneville. He was of the Baptist faith, a 1982 graduate of W.S. Neal High School, served in the U.S National Guard, and a material tester for the State of Alabama Department of Transportation. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping.
He is survived by his wife, Melinda Bailey Laymon of Hayneville; one son, Cody (Daphne) Laymon of Milton, Fla.; one daughter, Autumn (Jaime Galicia) Laymon of Hayneville; on brother, Bob Cannon of Brewton; three grandchildren, Gabriel, Elisha and Evan.
Visitation was held Sunday, October 24, 2020 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Funeral services were held Saturday, October 24, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. William Joyner officiating. Interment followed in Weaver Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Bill Morgan, Adam Anderson, David Gatlin, Ludon Simmons, Lawson Brown and Jamie Galicia.
Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
