Mrs. Melinda Jean Henry Jordan, 57, passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2020 in a Mobile hospital.
She was a life-long resident of Escambia County. She had worked at Judy Bond for a number of years before becoming a SNA at West Gate Village Nursing Home. She was a graduate of W.S. Neal High School and enjoyed baking, cooking, crocheting and collecting movies. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her father, Hayward Henry and a son, Marvin Henry.
She is survived by her husband, James Jordan of Brewton; her mother, Bonnie Cain Henry of Castleberry; two daughters, Jamie Jordan of Semmes, and Chrissy Bell of Brewton; one sister, Kathy (Ken) Douglas of Brewton; a nephew, Kevin (Emily) Douglas; a niece, Whitney (Travis) Kelley; and several great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held at Craver’s Funeral Home on Saturday, November 14 from noon until 1:30 p.m.
Graveside funeral services were held Saturday, November 14, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at cooper Cemetery with Bro. Mark Regehr officiating.
Pallbearers were Gene Godwin, William Kagarise, Helen Jackson, Colby Morris, Timothy Watson and Patrick Bridges.
Craver’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
