Mr. William “Bill” Gaines Stone, 92, of Escambia Avenue in Brewton, passed away Sunday, November 29, 2020 at his residence after a brief illness.

He was a native of Washington County, Alabama and a life long resident of Brewton.

Mr. Stone was a member of the Brewton First Baptist Church, He was a graduate of W.S. Neal High School, he served in the U.S. Airforce during the Korean Conflict and the National Guard, and was a retired mail clerk from the U.S. Postal Service with 30 years of service.

He is survived by two sons, Billy Rikard of Brewton, Don Rikard of Enterprise; one grandson, Rick Rikard; two great-grandchildren, Sara Beth Rikard and Whitman Rikard; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Nell Rikard Stone; two brothers, Clarence Bud Stone and Robert bob Stone; and two sisters, Johnnie Mae Winter and Ernestine Monroe.

Graveside services are scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 3, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Union Cemeter with Bro. Cavin Cawthon officiating. Interment will follow.

Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
