Mr. Henry Wayne Smith, 70, of Ivey Lane in Castleberry, passed away Sunday, December 6, 2020 in a Century, Fla., nursing facility after a brief illness.
He was a native and long time resident of Brewton before moving to Castleberry. Mr. Smith was of the Christian faith, a 1969 graduate of W.S. Neal High School, a U.S. Army Veteran, and former carpenter from the construction industry. He enjoyed fishing and growing flowers.
He is survived by two sons, Jason Smith and Josh (Autumn) Smith, both of Brewton; two brothers, Ronald (Phyllis) Smith of Brewton, and Danny (Terri) Smith of Texas; five sisters, Faye LoKey of Brewton, Linda (Jimmy) Lynn of Brewton, Barbara (Roy) Kelley of Brewton, Sue (Ed) Reid of Frisco City, and Brenda (Rob) Dangerfield of Elizabethtown, Kent.; two grandchildren, Amber rose and John Smith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin Henry and Christeen Ivey Smith; a brother, Tommy Smith; and a brother-in-law, Paul LoKey.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 9, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeff Edwards officiating. Interment will follow in Glory Hill Cemetery in Brewton.
