Mr. Odis Wayne Lindsey, 68 of Ridge Road in Brewton, passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at his residence after a brief illness.
He was a native and life-long resident of Brewton. Mr. Lindsey was a member of the Rock Hill Assembly of God Church and attended the Dogwood Hills Assembly of God Church, was a 1972 graduate of W.S. Neal High School, and was a retired road and bridge foreman from T.R. Miller Mill Company with 30 plus years of service. He enjoyed antiques, singing and speaking at churches, and owned and operated Lindsey Hauling Company.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Long Lindsey of Brewton; three sons, Jonathan (Melissa) Lindsey of Fairhope, Jason (Kristal) Lindsey of Brewton, and Nathan (Tabitha) Lindsey of Brewton; two daughters, Jennifer (Clay) Beagle of Spanish Fort and Jaime Salter of Brewton; two brothers, Buddy Lindsey of Brewton and Donnie Lindsey of Brewton; six sisters, Jean Smith of Mobile, Catherine Murphy of East Brewton, Ruth McVey of Savannah, Ga., Dale Hill of Brewton, Brenda Drawbaugh of Scottsboro; 11 grandchildren, Mary-Mychal, Madelyn, Mallarie, Lexie, Set, Landon, Kaleigh, Conor, Nevaeh, Armand and Arianna.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Odis William and Naomi Ruth Worthington Lindsey; and a sister, Louise Ball.
Visitation was held Friday, Dec. 4 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. at Rock Hill Assembly of God Church in Brewton.
Funeral services were held Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Rock Hill Assembly of god Church with Bro. Tommy Quick and Bro. Herman Smith officiating. Interment followed in Rock Hill Cemetery in Brewton.
Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
