Mrs. Doris Rachel Taylor Booker, 85, of Beaver Creek Road in the Bullard Community of Baker, Fla., passed away Thursday night, December 10, 2020 at her daughters residence after a brief illness.
She was a native and long time resident of Bradley before moving to Okaloosa County, Fla. Mrs. Booker was a member of the Rock Creek Assembly of God Church where she enjoyed singing, she attended Henley Roberts School, and was a 1952 graduate of W.S. Neal High School, and was a retired seamstress from Alatex. She enjoyed farming, gardening, canning vegetables and preserves.
She is survived by a daughter, Doris Booker (Billy) James of Brewton; five grandchildren, Tracie (Chris) Mauldin, Chase Green, Rebecca (Eric) Whitfield, Erica (Brandon) Bolton, and Wade (Aarika) Booker; six great-grandchildren, Brodie, Evan, Hayes, Austin, Emma and Parker; one daughter-in-law, Cindy Booker of Baker, Fla.; and one son-in-law, Larry Green of Crestview, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Ruth Nelson Taylor; her husband, William Booker; a son, Gary Buck Booker; and a daughter, Sheila Green.
Graveside services were held Sunday afternoon, December 13, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bullard Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with Bro. Byrnes Pitts officiating. Interment followed in Bullard Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery in Baker, Fla.
