Damaris Esther Rodriguez Weaver entered her heavenly home, a place she “could only imagine” here on earth, on Friday, November 27, 2020, at the age of 86.
She was born in Comerio, Puerto Rico, on July 8, 1934, and had been a resident of Brewton since 1996. Damaris was a retired clinical social worker and nutritionist. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, East Brewton. Damaris was known affectionately as “Dee” and “Grandma Dee” to her friends and loved ones. She enjoyed shopping, eating out, and watching movies with her loving and caring husband, James Carman Weaver, who also passed into eternity on December 11, 2020. “Jim” and “Dee” were married May 20, 1989.
Damaris is survived by her son, Marcos Robles, of Altamonte Springs, Fla.; daughter, Idel Robles/Altenburg (Dwight Rivera Colon), of Naples, Fla.; stepsons, James Weaver, Jr. (Terry), of Levittown, Penn., and Phillip Weaver (Kim), of Hammond, La.; her grandchildren; and other family members.
A memorial service for Damaris and James Weaver was held at Williams Memorial Chapel, Brewton, on Monday, December 28, 2020. Interment followed at the Green Acres Memorial Park in Brewton.
Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Gideons International or the Young America’s Foundation (Reagan Ranch del Cielo).
