Mrs. Evelyn Virginia O’Farrell Stowers, 88, of McGougin Road in Brewton, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2020 at her residence after a brief illness.

She was a native and life long resident of Brewton. Mrs. Stowers was a member of the Zion Hill Baptist Church, and a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, Elton Stowers of Brewton and Ronald (Dianne) Stowers of Brewton; one daughter, Corrie Stowers (Randy) Pittman of Brewton; one sister, Gloria (Jerry) Pate of Brewton; four grandchildren, Heath Pittman, Matthew Colvin, Patrick Stowers and Allison Colvin; seven great-grandchildren, Brooke, Ethan, Roux, Taven, Ella, Sean and Alyssa.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lamar Stowers; a grandson, Rodney Blake Colvin; and a granddaughter, Amelia Pugh.

Graveside services were held Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Zion Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Keith Lisenby officiating.

Interment followed in Zion Hill Cemetery in Brewton.

Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
