Mr. Calvin Earl Miniard, 63, of Baggett Road in Castleberry, passed away Friday afternoon January 8, 2021 at his residence.
Mr. Miniard was a native of Brewton, and a life-time resident of Castleberry. He was employed with the City of Evergreen as a equipment operator. He enjoyed hunting deer but turkey hunting was his favorite. He loved drag racing, Auburn Tiger football and was a faithful pillar of his church, Love Not Nails. He was a dedicated father to his two sons and passed down his passion for hunting to his sons and grandchildren. He will be remembered as a very faithful and hard worker.
He is survived by two sons, Jeremy (Amanda) Miniard of Alabaster, and Lavon (Brittany) Miniard of Castleberry; sister, JoAnn (LeRoy) Knowles of Range; grandchildren, Logan, Ethan, Paris, Elise and Gage.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Carl Lee and Nannie V. Miniard; sister, Charlotte Thompson.
Visitation will be held Wednesday morning January 13, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. service time at Love Not Nails Church in Castleberry.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Love Not Nails Church with Pastor Mark Gray officiating. Interment to follow at Buffington Cemetery in Castleberry.
