Mr. James Michael “Mikie” Thomas, 57, of Dozier Road in Brewton, passed away Monday, January 4, 2021 in a Pensacola, Fla., hospital after a extended illness.
He was a native and life long resident of Brewton. Mr. Thomas was of the Christian faith, and was a superintendent of a construction company. He enjoyed hunting, Auburn Football, and spending time with his family. Mikie loved to talk, he could make anyone laugh, he was a hard worker and provider, he made a big impact on everyone he met. His life was cut too short on this earth but now he has his wings and is rejoicing with the Lord.
He is survived his wife, Gina Douglas Thomas of Brewton; two daughters, Ashley Bridges of Brewton and Brooke Madden Thomas of Dothan; two grandsons, Maddax Sellers and Knigh Sellers; nieces and nephews, Amanda Steele, Rusty Steele, Jason Thomas and Nanci Bass Kent.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Annie Laura Jernigan Thomas; brothers, Ed Mack Thomas and Roy Thomas; and a sister, JoAnn Thomas Steele.
Visitation was held Friday, January 8, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Funeral Services were held Friday, January 8, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home. Interment followed in Edendale Cemetery in Brewton.
Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
