Mr. Stanley C. Godwin, 90, passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021 at his Brewton residence.

Mr. Godwin was born in Wawbeek, and was a graduate of Flomaton High School. He worked as a store manager at W.T. Grant’s Store for a number of years. He live in the Brewton area for the past 22 years, coming from Anniston. 

He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Wanda T. Godwin of Brewton, AL; four sons, Rusty (Noel) Godwin of Bellamina, AL, Johnny Godwin of Anniston, AL, David (Amber) Godwin of Athens, AL, and Jay Godwin of Jacksonville, FL; two step-sons, Billy Williams of Anniston, AL and Cody (Megan) Williams of Brewton, AL; one step-daughter, Alicia (Ben) Blackmon of Anniston, AL; four grandchildren, Daniel, Katy, Jake, Kristy; five step-grandchildren, Kolby, Brayden, Rumor, Carson, Kaycen; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John & Bessie Godwin; a sister, Rosetta Flowers; and a daughter, Marie Godwin.  He was a member of Sardis Baptist Church.

Graveside funeral services were held Friday, January 8, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Sardis Cemetery.
