Mr. Rudolph Charles “Rudy” Yuhasz, 92, passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2021 in a Milton, Fla., health care facility.
Mr. Yuhasz was born in Molino, Fla., and had been a resident of Brewton since 1957. He was a veteran of the Korean conflict having served with the U.S. Navy, and worked for a number of years as a Lab Technician at Container. He enjoyed building cabinets, gardening, fishing, going to the YMCA to swim and walk, and enjoyed talking. He loved to share his vegetable garden with his family, friends, and community. He was a member of Catawba Springs Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Lillie Frances Yuhasz.
He is survived by five sons, Mike (Karen) Yuhasz, Nick (Anne) Yuhasz, Steve (Tami) Yuhasz, Tony (Tonya) Yuhasz, and Pete (Sonya) Yuhasz, all of Brewton; two brothers, Jena Yuhasz, and Otha Yuhasz, both of Molino, Fla.; one sister, Pauline Gindle of Pensacola, Fla; nine grandchildren, Shannon Turner, Shawn Yuhasz, Keaton Yuhasz, Stephanie Hicks, Kristen Yuhasz, Aaron Yuhasz, Dustin Yuhasz, Drake Folse, and Jacob Yuhasz; ten great-grandchildren, Abigail Turner, Lillie Turner, Isabella Turner, Harper Hicks, Dallas Folse, Mason Yuhasz, Garrett Yuhasz, Millie Harper Yuhasz, Parker Yuhasz, and Bryant Folse; and his care-taker, Liza Burton.
Graveside funeral services were held on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Catawba Springs Cemetery with Bro. Steve Yuhasz officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rudy’s memory to Catawba Springs Cemetery Fund.
Craver’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
