Results of COVID-19 testing in Escambia County has been released for the week ending Feb. 12.

In the report released by the Escambia County Healthcare Authority, eight new cases of the virus have been recorded since results were last released on Feb. 9.

At D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital, some 61 tests have been administered according to data collected at the facility. Of those tests, only five were confirmed to be positive. That means that 8% of those tested returned a positive result.

At Atmore Community Hospital, 29 new tests were administered in the same time period with only three cases returned as positive for the virus. In Atmore, 10% of those tested returned a positive result.
