Coastal Alabama Community College’s basketball season ended in a loss to Marion Military Institute 91-
65.

While Coastal Alabama Basketball has had impressive performances this season, it was a tough season for the team.

The loss they suffered to Marion Military Institute ended the memorable season. This season was the most unique season that Coastal’s basketball program ever participated in because of the pandemic. While it might have not been the best season for the basketball program, it is still commendable that they chose to participate in the season to help return some sense of normalcy to
people’s life.

During the recent loss, Coastal went 25-64 on field goals while Marion Military Institute was able to score 38-65. Missed free throws were an issue with Coastal, because their field goal percentage was 57.1 percent. Rebounds were another thing that led to Coastal’s defeat, with Marion Military Institute getting 36 compared to Coastal’s 27.

This season might be over for Coastal Alabama, but it is safe to say that the players and the coach is already looking forward to next season.
